In his new role, Chandler will be responsible for building and developing a philanthropy program that will help Adventist Health Simi Valley plan for future growth and transform the healthcare landscape for its community.

“We’re so blessed to have somebody with Ben’s talents, experience and passion for healthcare development leading our foundation,” Adventist Health Simi Valley President Jennifer Swenson said. “He’s an asset to our leadership team, and we’re confident that through his work he will help elevate the healthcare experience in Simi Valley.”

Chandler has worked in philanthropy for more than 23 years, serving in fundraising positions for UCLA School of Law; University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business; Seminary of the Southwest; TrinityCare Hospice Foundation; and most recently, as chief philanthropy officer at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills.

Chandler said that he’s excited to begin building a philanthropy program that will support healthcare in Simi Valley, allowing Adventist Health to expand services.

“I believe strongly in having high-quality healthcare available to people in their communities,” Chandler said. “No one should have to travel out of their communities for quality care. I look forward to building partnerships that will keep our patients close to home.”
