(Moorpark, California) April 5, 2024—Get ready to experience a magical evening where dreams really do come true as Moorpark High School’s Theatre Department presents Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella: Enchanted Edition.”
Originally premiering as a television special in 1957, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” captured the hearts of viewers with its captivating music and timeless story. Over the years, the beloved fairy tale has been adapted for the stage, charming audiences with its enduring magic and timeless message of hope and transformation.
The Enchanted Edition of Cinderella, first introduced in 2004, reimagines the classic story with fresh perspectives and updated elements while retaining the beloved songs and characters that audiences have come to adore.
With new orchestrations and expanded scenes, the musical is a timeless tale coming to Moorpark High School’s Performing Arts Center, 4500 Tierra Rejada Road, in April.
Eight performances will alternate between two talented casts from April 17 to April 27. All shows will begin at 7 p.m.
The opening cast performances will be April 17, 19, 24 and 26. The closing cast performances will be April 18, 20, 25 and 27.
The show is performed with a full pit orchestra with students from the school’s instrumental music program.
Tickets for Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella: Enchanted Edition” are available for purchase on GoFan and may also be bought at the door. General admission tickets are $15, while students, staff, and seniors can enjoy tickets for $10.
