You want fries with that? You wanna make a buck in China? Try the highly competitive practice of mukbang (eating large quantities of food for viewers’ enjoyment) which is a wildly popular streaming subject. Successful mukbang contributors make good money and are showered with gifts from their followers. However, 24-year-old Pan Xiaoting lost her life during her livestream mukbang when she took her overeating to greater extremes, pushing her weight to around 650 pounds! An autopsy reportedly showed that her stomach was full of undigested food and her abdomen was severely deformed.

You want fries with that? Part II. 41-year-old Talanye Carter has a beef with her local Jack-in-the-Box restaurant. Three days earlier she complained about being short one chicken strip, which the store manager replaced, BUT! That didn’t satisfy Carter! She spit in the manager’s face! When Carter went to her vehicle and the manager took photos of her license plate, Carter noticed this and….ran into the woman with her car, knocking her to the ground and injuring her foot and ankle, then fled the scene! She was arrested the next day with second-degree and fourth-degree assault. No word on whether or not she ever got a Happy Meal.

You want fries with that? Part III. Sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do. Reality show contestants Spencer “Corry” Jones and Oliver Dev were kicked off the reality show, “Race to Survive” after they caught, killed, and ate a flightless Weka bird during episode eight, because they were “desperate and hungry”. Unfortunately, this bird is endangered and protected by New Zealand law and is punishable by up to two years in prison or a fine of about $60,000. Jones & Dev said they knew they were breaking a rule when they ate the bird. They never said if they had fries with that bird.
